Four tools read for an animated series, style by style
Four makers people search for by name are read here on their own pages, for the things a series needs: a style, a cast that holds, episodes, a length, movement. Where the register already carries a reading of the same maker, it is set beside the page; where it does not, the page names the questions left open. As of 2026-10-13.
The four pages here are the same exercise put to four makers people search for by name. One reads Vidu on how a 2D look is asked for; one reads Kling's pages for the machinery behind an in-between frame method; one reads OpenArt, whose pages state a cast as a number of consistent characters; and one sets Kling and Runway side by side on the questions a show asks. Each reading ends at the same point: which of the nine features this register tracks did the maker's own pages answer?
Every page here does three things. It quotes the maker's own wording for the point it is about, with the day it was read. It sets the register's readings beside that wording where the register holds a matching entry, since a register reading and a product claim are different kinds of evidence. And one row in every maker table comes from a pipeline this register follows, SceneMixer, whose pages describe the same script-to-episodes pipeline as live-action drama with a drawn medium.
None of it is a ranking. The register records what a maker's pages say about nine features and dates the reading; the pages here do the same for makers outside the register, and name the questions left open rather than closing them with an inference.
1The pages in this column
- Kling AI — what Kling's pages state about movement and elements, the register's character readings beside them, and the technique the search is named after.
- Kling and Runway — what each vendor's pages state, which of the register's nine features either one answers, and the duel the threads keep counting between them.
- OpenArt — a character count stated per plan, the register's ways of holding a cast, and the consistency question the threads asked more than any other.
- Vidu — what Vidu states about 2D animation and references, three tools whose pages name a style, and the community question this page is written for.
Maker pages were read on 2026-10-13 for this column; the register's readings date from 2026-09-25. How the tools are read is on the method page, and the tools themselves are on the register.
